Proverbs 23:4 AMPC
“Weary not yourself to be rich; cease from your own [human] wisdom.”
When I was much younger, I knew I would never be poor, not just because of what I knew from the Word of God, but because there were three things I had learnt to do properly; I could shine shoes, wash cars, and sew clothes.
I remember when I started sewing; my dad had just given me a shirt, which was way bigger than my actual size. So I had to amend it to be able to wear it, and I did, using my mum’s sewing machine. Of course, it looked funny by the time I was through, but I had achieved something! As time went on, I learnt to cut properly and make neater seams, and I got better until I became convinced that if I had to be a tailor, I would be the best.
You have the capacity for excellent, creative ideas; therefore, look inside you for them. Those ideas, if properly harnessed, are more valuable than money. If you nurse your ideas long enough and discipline yourself in their direction, with time, you’ll become very good at what you do. And eventually, money will come to you, because money is a slave of ideas.
Your success, prosperity and greatness are not determined by your geographical location or by the economy of the nation where you function. Rather, your mind is what determines what you become, for with your mind you can change everything else. You can change your state and your estate; you can change anything, as long as you have the right thoughts in your mind.
